There is a season

In an effort to slow my soul down in the mist of a busy schedule I went out for a stroll with my son to discover the colors of autumn. After a stop at Starbucks for a carmel apple cider for us to share we were on our way. There are a thousands of reasons why I love this time of year. Too many to ever put down in words, but some of my favorites are......the crunch of leaves beneath my feet. The cinderish glow the sun gives and the warm hues that it casts through the colored leaves. The smell of chimney's and their first lighting of the year. The smell of the cool air in the morning. Scarves. Hats. The reds. The auburn's. The golds. The oranges. Oh, how I love the brilliant colors. If I could wrap myself in a blanket of them and stay that way until spring, it would be bliss. I love to move slowly in the fall. It's the time of the year that I feel as if I've lost something if I don't stop to pay attention to it. So, today I did.

I'm so with you. The only thing you forgot was "boots". I LOVE the first time I can wear boots again! I'm sure we must be long-lost twins...
