On the eve of Valentines Day I vowed to find a red wall and use it to it's best abilities. Found it. Used it. My model was a little solem as he was more interested in the green apple in his hand than making cute faces for me. (Or he would turn away from the camera and smile...his new trick). Photogaphers out there...it is HARD to photograph a kiddo in red against a red wall. Too much red. Got any tips?

Stac....I don't think this picture looks bad. I think becuase of the different shades of red it worked out ok. I love the "pop" of the green apple....looks awesome! But as far as the reds, I think it looks ok since they are different.
The shades of red matching wasn't really the dilema...I kinda did that on purpose...but all the red has different tonal saturations and got little over powering while editing, the red wall color and his hat bounced back on his face and made it look pink. That was the main problem.
Oh ok...did you edit his color then? On my computer its not really showing him as pink...I think he looks like a little boy that is cold, so he's a little pink around the nose and eyes, but ti didn't look to me like he was pink!
Not on this one...but almost every other one had a red cast. Which is pretty easy to remove, but I just don't want to. I probably needed to move him away from the wall a bit..I did desaturate a little to keep it from looking like his hat was glowing!
