Does that surprise any of you? Yes...I'm a list maker and I've made a list of things I would like to see do and experience. I haven't had time to organize or share it here yet. Extra time. Isn't that an exciting thought?
Well.... on this list you will find wheat fields. I love fields of anything. Both of my parents came from farming homes, met on a combine crew that traveled Wyoming and the surrounding states...... fields are so beautiful to me. Romantic and old fashioned. So, on this list is wheat fields, also, barley and hops. I want to photograph each of these things. Along with groves of all kinds.
This weekend and this week I was informed that there are wheat fields. Within 15 minutes of me!!!!! I had no idea. I drive out toward them...but never quite far enough. Today, I threw my little man in the car with me with crackers and water (he LOVES crackers and water... he will do just fine if someone ever tried to starve him that way!) and found them.
They were just a beautiful as I thought they would be.
The wind made them ripple
They danced.
It was perfect.
