Back lighting

I've been working on trying new things this year and will continue to do so throughout the year. Today it was backlighting. It's kinda tricky that's for sure, but I've found a few tricks to help me out. This is my second try at backlighting. The first was the little picture of me in the corner. Technically these aren't the most fantastic, there's hot spots everywhere, but practice makes perfect I guess. I thought these would make an especially cheery shot...which they did.
