Peanut Butter Balls

Pay it forward with food is working!!!! This is a recipe from a fellow photographer from Florida. We call her Luny, but her real name is Amy. She runs Sun and Sand photography in Florida (there's a link to her blog and webpage at the bottom of this entry) and is completely awesome as a photographer and a person, and I would like to say to Amy...thank you so much for this recipe!!! It's so wonderfully peanutbuttery good! I can't believe I've never had them. Mixing them was quite a task, but if you've made popcorn balls, then you'll have no problem at all.

So without further hesitation....

Peanut Butter Balls

Mix 1 bottle of karo syrup and 1 cup of sugar in a pot on the stove (add the sugar when the karo starts to get tiny bubbles... then stir until almost clear....)
Turn off heat when clear.
Add jar of peanut butter (medium size) and mix thouroughly.
Add 1 medium size box of Corn Flakes. (Generic just won't do)
Mix with your hands - I have broken wooden spoons and cheap plastic ones!!!
WARNING - THIS MIXTURE WILL BE HOT!!!!!
Make into what ever size balls you like.
Let cool.Enjoy.
Try to eat only one!

She's right....you can't just eat one...I've already had three today. Guess I'll be at the gym a little longer tomorrow....oh well, it's totally worth it Amy!!!

These balls look scrumptious!! A tip for you: make them as bars by pressing into a cookie sheet and cut to whatever size you want! I sure enjoy your blog...Love, Aunt Lennie

But balls look much nicer in photographs! :)

How are your muscles after stirring that mixture?!

I have a recipe I want to send you but I lost where I wrote it down- I'll have to get it from my mom again.

Tell me- is it totally normal for your pictures to totally suck when you get off auto and into manual shooting? I feel like I'm a 3 year old lately. They SUCK.

Yes, it's pretty normal...until you figure out what shutterspeeds, etc go with what and what ISO's to use. You'll get it. Takes a lot of time. I'm glad you're shooting manually though.
