Bargain Power

Something that I love about harvest time, September and autumn, besides the coziness of it all, is bargaining with my goods. The things I've grown or the things I've baked. Like "I'll give you some mouth watering salsa if you watch my crazed lunatic child for 1 hour" .....seems like a fair trade to me. I also love to trade goods for homemade food. My tomatoes weren't quite ripe this week so I once again bartered the salsa for the tomatoes I didn't have with someone who did have them. Too bad I can't bargain at Anthropologie for clothing (I have a little weak spot for their apparel.....), or at Target for whatever I need in the house. Can you see it.... "Yes, ms. nice cashier lady, I'll give you 7 cookies for a gallon of bleach and one roll of paper towel." Oh, if it all were to be that fun!

Now my mouth is watering, and I'm trying to figure out what I could barter for a good massage.

Homemade salsa is the best! I've never made it myself, but I sure do enjoy it!
